NEW TRY VERSION

     A new version of TRY is now up.  (For the uninitiated, TRY is a  load
module that  can be  used  for testing  instruments or  generating  pieces
directly from SAIL.)  New features are:

     1.  It  is EASIER  THAN  EVER! to  use  it for  testing  instruments.
LOCATE  and   REVERB   can   be   automatically   included.    Just   copy
TRYFM.SAI[TRY,MUS] and follow the directions.

     2.  Continuous display of parameters.  Type SHOW to activate, HIDE to
de-activate.

     3.  Some primitive score-like features.  An example:

   NOTES 5    FREQ G\A\B\C.5\D.5    INDEX1 .5\1\2\4\8

     Old TRY  users:  to  make use  of these  new features,  use  TRY5.HDR
instead of TRY4.HDR.  TRY4.HDR will  still work, but don't reload  without
recompiling.
